Welcome to SEND Empowerment Advocacy — an independent advocacy service created by parents, for parents.

SEND Empowerment was founded from lived experience of navigating the often complex and overwhelming world of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Like many families, our founder became an advocate for her own child, learning how to work through the system to secure the right support. That journey not only built knowledge and resilience but also inspired a commitment to help other families find their voice and access the support their children deserve.

SEND Empowerment Advocacy provides FREE,   accessible guidance and support to parent carers and young people across England. Our mission is clear:

•  Every child deserves the right education and support.
• Every parent deserves access to reliable, informed advocacy — regardless of background or circumstance.

We are a fully insured and all of our advocates are DBS-checked, giving families confidence that they are in safe and professional hands. Over the years, we have collaborated with leading SEND law charities and organisations, building significant expertise and experience.

What makes SEND Empowerment unique is the combination of professional training and lived experience. We understand the emotional toll, the challenges, and the determination it takes to advocate for your child — because we have been there too.

At present, SEND Empowerment is led by, our Lead Advocate, who is SEND Law trained and oversees all advocacy work. We have two trainee advocates who are currently completing their training. They only take on casework with guidance and supervision from fully trained advocates, ensuring that every family continues to receive professional, accurate, and reliable support.

Although we are a small team, we are committed to providing personalised, compassionate, and trustworthy advocacy. As we grow, our focus remains on being approachable, family-focused, and firmly rooted in lived experience. Families can feel reassured that every piece of advice and support we offer is carefully overseen to meet the highest standards.
